what did you do? the side window?

AMDSempron
04-24-2005, 09:41 PM
Im getting together a list of everything thats on it, and some other pictures that specify stuff

But I custom did the window, and I custom cut the lexaan and custom cut the whole for the 80mm intake fan!

There is more that will be listed in a few!

MrSlacker

ok so you just did the window and a hole for the fan. now how anout cleaning up that wire mess. ;)

Ok, now for the good stuff!
I boght this computer as a barebones! This computer has no special name for it, since it is custom made! But I like to call it the Mr. Freeze 9000!

So Now introducing "Project Mr. Freeze 9000"

Stock Hardware:
83.1 GB Harddrive
556MB DDR Ram (1 Chip)(Using 1 out of 3 Ram Slots available)
AMD Sempron 2300Mhz Processor (Overcloking at 2600Mhz)
GeForce 4 Graphix card
Built in sound card (not sure what type)
DVD/CD-R/CD-RW Combo drive (top)
CD-R/CD-RW Drive (2nd down)
1 3 1/2 inch floppy drive
Huge Power Supply (Not sure what Voltage, but the dude at the comp store said that it could power 4 computers) :-)

UPGRADES
VIA RAID CONTROLER (Have installed but not hooked up to my other hardrives since there is no other harddrives in my beast as of now)
Nexus 3 Channel Fan controller with built in Cathode light converter
2 12' blue cold cathode lights that give it the Mr. Freeze look
Rounded IDE cable runing from board to Both Burners
Gold aluminum duel 4400RPM Harddrive cooler (controled by fan controler)
1 80mm 4 Blue LED Intake fan (3300 RPMS) (Controled by fan controler)
180mm Turbo Exahst fan (4000 RPMS) Controled by fan controler)
I took Some wire that had a mettal tubing look and wraped and ziptied around some of the wires that are more revealing! Again this contributes greatly to the mr freez effect!

Here are some more pictures of my beast!

Yea, ive veen trying to clean up the wires forever! man its a hard job! Expecialy with all the wires i have with cathode, fans, and other crap!

The only wire things I have to complain about now, is that flat IDE cable going to my hardrive, and the wires going up the hardrive and CD-ROM holders, i might pull them into the front where you cant see them
or
find someother way to convert them to my theme!

AMDSempron
04-24-2005, 10:56 PM
Ok, now, I have a problem, I can do 1 of 1 things!!

Im thinking of taking the rack out of the computer (the rack that holds the harddrive and crap, and painting it a dark blue!

or somekind of blue!

Do you guys think it would look better snow white? or 2 shades darker then the color of my cathodes?

Matthew

The 1/8th in audio connectors are for the front audio jacks. It comes out the back of your case with a included pci slot cover and will go into your motherboard or sound card.

O, thank you for the information! Now i know what those are for!!!

AMDSempron: there is no 556Mb memory module and i dont think any sempron runs at 2.3Ghz, might be 2300+(the name) Please dont ask what colour you should paint ure case. it is your computer and you have to decide what you want. but i think pink would look great :D

MrSlacker
04-25-2005, 12:01 PM
yeah there is not a single AMD that is 2.3Ghz. Semprons go only up to 1.8Ghz from what i know and a search on newegg. also there are no 556 modules of RAM. its 128, 256, 512, 1Gb. may be you meant 256? about the paint, paint it the color YOU want, not the color we think is good. if we say pink or yellow, it doesnt mean you ahve to pic that color....

AMDSempron
04-25-2005, 01:49 PM
ok, now to correct myself its a 512MB card (my bad)
and my processor is a 2000Mhz stock, but im overcloking it. (forgot to mention that)

Im thinking of painting the insed white! It will go with the Mr. Freeze effect!

Opinion?

somehow it doesnt make sense to me. first you said 2300mhz, 2600mhz overclocked. i thought it was a 2300+ ocd to a 2600+ but now you said its 2000mhz stock which is the 3300+. where did that 2300 and 2600 come from i do not know :?

me too, i just got a new comp, its AMD 5300 at 4.5Ghz stock, 1698MB of RAM and Radeon 1050XT/PE. ;) ;) you see numbers mean a lot when talking about PCs and saying how good yours is.

Matthew
04-28-2005, 06:48 AM
Lol...I read that and was like where can I pick up a AMD 5300 :(....Also septum is to amd as celeron is to intel....if I am correct. Meaning its a cheeper processor. If so...get something like the athlon searies. Or go 64bit. No use in getting an out dated computer when you have to buy a new one sooner.

Frakk
04-28-2005, 07:58 AM
semprons are fairly new, they came out with the 64bits to compensate the high-end processors for the regular users. they are not as fast but wont breal ure wallet in half either.

i think carefully folded flat IDE cables look better then round ones. AMD, fold yours carfully and t will look better.

AMDSempron

i dont know how to hide the rest of the wires, they wont work for me

Can anyone tell me how to take the power wires (the big plug that goes into the motherboard) and make that look out of the way, or make it look part of the theme? any help would be good!

Thanks

just try some cable sleeving. blue or black would look good in your case, maybe even a silver/chrome. http://www.cableorganizer.com/wire-management/

good job so far by the way. nice to see someone else using a Sempron as well :D
my little Sempron can actually hold up pretty well to my Athlon, although i haven't been able to do any real tests just because it has a slower than heck HDD in it right now

keep modding 8)

semprons arent very low end, at least the 754's arent. I get 11,300 in sandra at 2.45GHz and I outbench a 3.8 p4 in pretty much everything. A socket a sempron is basically a tbred b

:? Kid, you obviously don't know a whole lot about computers.

Now as for the case mod, I'm liking what I'm seeing so far. You did a really good job on lighting.

He's trying. We all didn't know pc hardware at some point. big deal. No reason to put someone down because they're trying.

As for your case, it's looking good, but I don't think you need more outtake fans. If you want them on top of the case, then it's your choice, but outtake fans on top of a case make a lot of noise if you're sitting right next to it.

The cables can be pinned with more zip ties, and if you want them to be "invisible" paint them the same color as the inside of your case.
As for your the power plug that goes into your mobo, just be careful not to pull wires out when you move it. Try pulling the wire as taught as it will go without breaking and zip tie it to the beam that goes right next to your power supply on the side your mobo sits. If there is any excess, zip tie that off and hide it behind your pwr supply.

If that didn't make any sense, pm me.
