Nice up to date set up. I suprised you used a ATI Radeon X1900GT and not a X1900XT. But any way.

Core 2 Duo E6600 I'm so jealous.

Yea, well since I cant get dual GPU with this mobo I decided I might as well use that spare cash to buy a better GPU. This one has vivo too so I am happy ^_^.

Havent got the E6600 Yet, BUT I CANT WAIT FOR IT!

I Dont have the cash for a upgrade.

As I would have to upgrade everything to do so and that would cost like $1000 AUS.

Why don't you try using RIVATUNER to see if you can unlock some of the pipelines by softmodding the card and turn it into a X1900XT. As the X1900XT is exactly the same as your card except it has a higher clock speed and more vextex and pixel pipelines.

The XT is better than the GT? lol I didnt know that.. maybe I'll just try and find a XT then?

simon275

Yes really didnt you know?

The gt only has 256mb of ram while the xt has 512mb. And like another 12 more pixel and vextex shaders it is way more powerful. Ase well has higher GPU and RAM frequencies

I know about all these expensive graphics cards and stuff that I cant afford.

What about the X1800XT then? Is that better than the X1900GT?

I've never used G-Skill. What have you heard about it that made you choose it?

Notta, the only thing I have heard is what I have seen. Which is the cheapest DDR2-800. Even if its bad ram... its still better than the 2GB (x4 512) ddr2 533 corsair value ram.

Also... I am thinking about painting the Lexa. I will do it the right way of course so it looks at least stock. But I dont know what color to go with? All I have to go by is that it will be lighted with blue. I was thinking of a DARK Pearlescent Blue but then realized that it would be too much blue. Maybe a dark Pearlescent or metalic red??

X1900GT I think beets a X1800XT.

Wow, that's almost exactly like mine. Same mobo, same CPU, ATI video card, modular PSU... Crazy lol.

Nooooooooo! Please don't paint the Lexa! It's so shiny and black and pretty!
I suppose I really don't care as long as its a good paint job, to me the Lexa is one of those cases that look really nice completely un-modded. I just don't feel the need to mod it...

Edit: we both like ATI also (ATI X1900, Conroe, Lexa)

The Lexa is a very nice and elegant case true enough. But as much as I like the thought of having something custom I would still much rather have personalized/one of a kind. I'll probably have to repaint it anyways because when I do my window. But have faith... I will make sure I do it right and I will make sure it looks professional when its done. If it doesnt... I'll redo it untill it does look good. ^_^

But I really have no idea of what color I want?? Maybe that sunset rust orange or whatever that color is you see on cars? lol that would be pretty interesting. I dont know, any suggestions anyone?

Edit:
I saw on these forums one time on baking paint jobs or something.. anyways.. I vaguely remember the color but I believe it was a redish orangish color? Does anyone know what I am talking about? Can you give me a link to it?

Maybe use a Window Decal on the side of the case

http://www.xoxide.com/windowdecals.html

I was gonna get the Lexa orginally due to the shinyness factor but then I settled for a trustworth Antec Super Lanboy to use in my up and comming mod project that I' am starting this weekend. =D

Well I am not a big fan of window decals unless they are custom made for you. I think on the lexa that a decal would lower its quality. Thanks for your opinion though. ^_^ Do you know any cool colors that would look good on a lexa?

EDIT:
You know what? Forget about the paint job. I will just re do it black if I have any mistakes. Cant have a BLACK rose without black now can we? lol

But now what about the inside of the lexa? What should I paint that?

That would look pretty nice! I gotta see that when its done. :) I realised I had talked too soon  , I've done some minor mods to my Lexa (Just integrating recievers and power connectors). The Lexa would also look nice with some nice etching, maybe a rose like on the other side of the case. ;)

Im just curious though, where are you going to mount the Thermaltake Silent Water? I'm looking around my Lexa and the only place I would put is the hard drive cage.

edit: the thermaltake silent water is cheaper on newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835106078)

I'm going to mount it onto the back 120mm exhaust area.
