Ok for my gamign computer that I am building, I am just about complete. Now I read reviews on the video card I am about to get (x1600 saphire), And everyone says it runs rather hot. Now I have a PCI SLOT fan, but what I want is another fan on the other side. Basicley sinces its AGP, there are no PCI or any slots above it, So I cant fit a pci fan there. Is there any guides or mods that will allow me to install a regular 80 mm case fan maybe?

Well you could use something like this (http://www.frozencpu.com/vid-34.html) to get fans on the bottom and the side of the card. But if you really want to cool your card I would recomend getting an aftermarket cooler like the Zalman VF900. (http://www.frozencpu.com/vid-59.html) I have an earlier version and it runs very nicley. Infact, the older version (the VF700) let me OC my Geforce 6200 (its wimpy I know but I'm stuck with AGP and :sniff: a socket A mobo :( ) from a 300 mhz core and a 500 mhz ram to a stable 420 mhz core and a 620 mhz ram. And it runs very quiet to boot.

yeah.. the vf900 is a very nice one.. but i'd rather go with a silencer type cooler (it exhausts warm air..).. unfortunatelly, i can't find one with a heatpipe design too.. the accelero's are nice, and i heard that a version for x1600 will soon be available.. i've seen some reviews and the vf900 is great.. but not very moddable.. (and it doesn't really do anything if u have memory chips on the other side :))
try to find something with heatpipes, that can run passive, has fins (not big chunks of aluminum!), a nice configuration for modding and nice looks to top it all off :) then put some fans in strategic locations... i had an idea once, but the product i was looking at was too "wimpy" :) it allowed for 2x60mm fans.. too small for me :) a good heatsink from termalright comes to mind.. but u must have the guts to bend it :)

@monoflap: that's a nice oc! 120mhz on both! nice.. and don't be ashamed of your mobo.. i have a socket A too and i'm not complaining ;) ;p but i would change it, hihi :)

I have an accelero on my 6800 - can't recommend them highly enough - if you can, i'd wait for a compatible one to come out...

My X1600 never ran hot at all. If you want to cool an ATI card, you can get one of those Accelero's. Maximum PC did a test of the tempatures between stock ATI and the Acceler's and it cooled the card down greatly.

I have the VF700, Its good and quiet. It came with ram sinks aswell so the chips on the back side get some cooling too!
