Real carbon fiber costs much. Youd be better using a fake carbon fiber paint, or some finish, since you'd pay very much for some carbon fiber (just tink for a car spoiler, or hood.... $$$$)

I've got a whole lot of carbon fiber vinyl here that I won't use.

If you wanted to buy it off of me, I'll offer it up for sale. This stuff is easy to use and could be used for all kinds of mods.

I have two sheets of it, each measuring 24" x 15". I bought it for about 12 bucks a sheet, and it has just been sitting in storage (my closet).

How does 7 bucks a sheet sound?

That appears to be the stuff I have... wow. I got ripped off, then.

In that case, if anybody wants my carbon fiber (exact same stuff!), I'll charge 6 dollars a sheet (24" x 15").

Lol, perhaps, but then there is the issue of shipping.

You'll really pay that carbon fiber stuff? and I dont think it's not really flexible if you wanna do something round. Youd be better with vinyls.

Unless your dad works for a place that happens to already make rolls of carbon fiber vinyl, I doubt he'll be able to get his hands on some. Plus, carbon fiber is expensive, hard to work with, and not to mention, dangerous to work with.

Um, yes, you did. However, it's not like theres a hundred places in the country that make carbon fiber vinyl. I'm just saying that the place he works at very well not all ready make carbon fiber vinyl.

Here's a good guild for working with carbon fiber
Mashie Designs - Modding Guides - Carbon Fibre (http://www.mashie.org/guides/cfbalsa01.html)
Carbon fiber comes in different grades. For what a modder would do with it, the 'factory reject' grade would probably do since we aren't trying to make a plane fusilage with it.
