If you're concerned with the heat of your motherboard/case, here's a program for you...

Motherboard Monitor 5.3.7 (http://www.download.com/Motherboard-Monitor/3000-2086_4-10518385.html?tag=lst-0-2)

I thought this program is very helpful if you run large Gfx chips, processors, high-speed harddrives, etc.

You can add your own remote sensors to MBM by using a SMB connected temperature sensor such as the Maxim 1668.... Needs some PCB skills, but even a learner like me managed it.

Speedfan is an alternative temperature monitoring software package as well. Both have their fans. Pardon the pun!
