I don't know if anyone else here would know about this, but my school uses a internet filter (Bess) to prevent students from going on stuff they don't want them to. Last year they pissed me off by blocking google images, any site that mentions the word "game" and my Halo 2 Clan website. This year they just pushed it: They blocked The Best Case Scenario!   I'm soooo pissed. Mind you this blocker is really advanced and restrictive, does anyone know of a way I could get around it?
Thanks, Indybird

Well, at my school, they blocked Google images too but I got around that by using Google ADVANCED image search ;) Idiots...

For getting to TCBS, you could try Opera browser which installs on a flash drive, but it may not work depending on their server settings.

Also, if they have a program called Synchron Eyes, they can watch everything you do, live, which is bad. And when she (my teacher) disabled internet explorer whith that program, i used windows explorer (double click PROGRAMS; I had no desktop or my computer/documents) and just typed in the site there.

Well they don't have Synchron Eyes but I would like to know your advanced image search idea...

Our school website blocker last year had down-syndrome, I swear.

It gave you an option to view the site that was being blocked.

What's the point of it if you can just click "View Site Now" and bypass it?

I just searched "Google Advanced Image Search" in google and clicked the "im feeling lucky button" since the link is the first one, nothing to it.

How did he setup his own proxy? That would be very useful...

Haha, bess is anything but advanced. Google for TorPark, put it on your flash drive, voila, you're around the filter.

Setting up proxies can be very tricky. Well, I've learned one thing- there's a bootleg way just waiting to be found. lol. You could try putting morpheus on a flash drive and opening its web browser. Or you could do it the "bootleg" way. Some kid actually put a virus directly into the server without any teachers noticing (lol). But it pissed me off because the CD drives kept opening and shutting over and over and over again...:D

Well Im probably doing it wrong but I ran Torpark off of my flash drive, it started and once the window was open it kept saying "retrieving IP" in the corner and I couldn't access the internet. Was I doing something wrong or is my school's network too protected?

Have you tried www.kproxy.com? Thats what they were using at my office, but I caught them ;)

now is it just me, or is that kproxy site littered with popups. as soon as i closed that window after having taken a look, i was bombarded by three popup adds. that could get annoying pretty fast.

First, all the proxies are blocked, so I'm trying that anymore.

Second, I just want to know what I was doing wrong with Torpark.

Hey guys I really need help with this: I'm really bored for 49 minutes of Programming every day since the teacher didn't make assignments for Programming III (because nobody ever got that far).

since the teacher didn't make assignments for Programming III (because nobody ever got that far).

You're lucky to have a teacher. When i was sitting the Advanced course in school there was 3 of us on our own. We could do what we liked all year, but we still had to sit a final exam-which wasn't a joke.
