Many people use a dremel with a cut-off disk. May I ask what your case is made of?
For the side panel, I think a dremel and a jigsaw are the best. Do the shape with the jigsaw the best you can, and then smooth the edges with a dremel with a grinding bit, finally finishing with a hand file.

if its aluminum i would use a drimel instead of a jigsaw. as we all know aluminum is kind of flimsy when it gets warm. a jig saw might cause it to get little warped arround the areas you intend to cut. i could be wrong on this one. i expect slug toy might correct me here. for the circle you definately want to use a drimel though. if you hold it up on an angle you should be able to cut circular patters. your cuts will end up beveled a bit so there will be a bit of an edge to them when the peice is finaly out so watch your hands. file them out after the cuts to make the cut flat after.

What kind of cutting disk? I have a lot of different ones that came with a big dremel kit.

The reinforced ones are usually the best if you have them. They are a bit bigger than the normal red ones, and they are a dark grey color with white lines in them - thats the "reinforcement".

yep thats the ones. they break less and dont wear as fast. if your cutting aluminum with it it will probably last a good bit deal longer then normal as aluminum is a soft metal and will likely ware down before your cut off wheel.
might i suggest instead of putting the grind stone to it after to clean up the burs that you go out and get a deburing tool. inexpensive and it does a wicked job. its alot less work then fileing them off you wont have to worry about aluminum clogging up your grindstone. beyond that they are stupid easy to use and really fast to clean up your edges even though its only a hand tool. all you do is kind of drag it allong your edge and the sharp part of it is strong enough that it will shave the lil burs off as well as any sharp corners. this will make your work safer for you to handle after as well. its nearly effortless to use. probably one of the best hand tools i ever bought
