Don't joke, this is some serious hardware.

My mom used to work for the company that dispatches hospital planes and helicopters for the western states (nevada and over), and each workstation had one of these. It's insane.

One dual output AGP or PCIe (or two PCIe) cards, and alot of normal PCI cards for the others. It would, on a AGP setup, take 1 AGP card and 3 PCI cards =/

Or one onyx2 deskside. It has 8 gfx ports out.

If i'm correct, DVI cables have the advantage of being 'splitable', allowing you to run extra monitors from the same graphics port...but the problems being your graphics card's software. Not 100% certain how it works, but i know that a company used to make a 2 way splitter for VGA and and when DVI came along it ruined their business. I think Defyant has used a DVI splitter.

Well, dave I think most the places who use those have software specifically made for them. Such as Universities, dispatch centers, etc. I believe those are used in some universities for ATC (Air Traffic Control) training.
