This is for when your computer tells you its going to shut down in 60 seconds.

This was a constant problem before a patch was released by MS. It usually happens when there is a RPC error. I've had the error after the patch but not nearly as often.

To stop the shutdown sequence so you can properly save your files and/or continue working. Fallow thies easy steps.

1. Open the run dialog box from the start menu.

2. Enter: shutdown -a

Thats it. Its kept me from ripping out my hair a few times.

This was vital to escape the dreaded blaster worm.

you could just patch the ms blaster virus. then it never appears.

that reminds me, what happened to that virus? did ms patch it themselves? cos ive not patched it for a while, and ive not got it yet, but when it was alive, it would take a matter of minutes to get it once you went online.

Yeah, but how were you supposed to get the patch when your computer shut down 60 seconds after you loaded it? That's why it was such a pain in the ass.
