I have a similar switch in my case: the sealed switch looks just like it but without the lighting. You can get it from Maplin for about £10.

I'm assuming the price above is in $...it might be worth asking someone on the boards to ship you one, cos you're not going to get them cheaper than that.

All Electronics has them for $3.95us. Granted they don't have the lighted band but they are very nice Stainless buttons.

Rounded top : http://www.allelectronics.com/cgi-bin/item/PB-143/700325/HD_METAL_PUSHBUTTON,_N.O._MOMENTARY_.html

Flat Top:

I'm pretty sure they ship to the UK (you'd have to call and check), But I'm not sure that it would end up being cheaper then Maplin then?

Well, they arent lighted. But for that price can you really complain!? Thats like what? A twenty dollar difference on some sites!? NICE

Thanks for the linkage CBB. You seem to live up to your title very well! :)

I dont suppose you know of a cheap website to get wires for those do you? I looked at FrozenCPU.com (arent they UK?) and they were about six bucks? Which isnt too bad I suppose.

Sorry Snow, I make my own cables most of the time...or reuse bits of old one :(

Go to a PC fixin' shop and ask for old PSU's. All the cable you'll ever need.

Get yerself' some 22 gauge or so wire and a bag o' molex connectors. You can get like 100 for 5 bucks on eBay.

Also, you can get them there mobo connectors for dirt cheap, too. You'll need some thinner gauge wire, however.

Hey, sorry if it's a nuisance reviving an old thread, but thought it would be better than making a new one.

I'm pretty new to case modding although I've been doing other fabrication/building for quite a while. I really don't know anything about electricity or switches and have a question. I saw these switches for 4 bucks that I've wanted for a long time, in this thread, and am confused about where it says "momentary". Is this the right kind of switch for power on on a case? Is it wired just like any other power on switch? Thanks:p

yes, that is the correct type, momentary just means it doesnt latch (it is only on when you press it) a bit like a keyboard key..... anyway, my computer will soon use the key switch again which is not momentary, so i have to turn it sideways, then back to normal again

sorry for chatting on!!

hope this helps
