First off, welcome to the forums!

Well, we can't really give you a list of supplies without knowing what kind of mod you are going to do, first.

So, try making a design of your case first. Decide what materials will look best, maybe what colors you want to paint it, etc. Come back to us with an idea and we'll give you everything you need to know as to actually executing the mod.

Have you ever used Sketchup before? It's a free 3D program from Google, I highly recomend that you play around with it for a bit and try and come up with a design for us.

Good luck, and if you have any questions please ask!

3Ds Max is great too, I just assumed you didn't have any prior modeling experience.

Sounds great, I look forward to seeing the finished product!

Sketchup is the the easiest program Ive ever used. Follow the tutorials and you'll start gettting it after a few hours of playing around.

That tutorial says to take out rivets with a 1/8" drill bit.

Just drill through them with the right sized bit and they'll come out.

You can either manually put the rivets back in, or you can get yourself a "pop gun". The pop rivet guns are quite inexpensive and simple to use, just squeeze the handle and pop your rivet into place.

Alternatively, you could always use nuts and bolts, which I really like on cases sometimes, especially with something like a nice hexnut or cool design.

Do you have a dremel? Anywho with rivets you drill through the flatter side and drill right through or atleast until its flush. You have to buy new rivets and a hand riveter. Look at this http://www.boxgods.com/dept/modding/index.php?Action=Article&ID=201&Page=100

You will have to buy a rivet gun. Spend the extra couple of bucks and get the whole kit. It will come with different size tips and different size rivets.
