Ok, I'm about to mod my case. Last time I tried to paint a case with rattle cans, it turned out moderatly terrible. I just want some tips to getting a decent matte finish on this thing. Also, can you still get decent results by doing it outside? I live in an apartment and I can't do it inside unfortunately. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks. FYI: This is the case I'm going to be modding. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811129148
EDIT: I just realised that my case has rivets in it. After they're removed, can you just screw a screw into the resulting hole?

search the forum for tips, there are a lot of paint-guides...
as for the rivets, you drill them out and put new rivets in. you could use something like a bolt and a nut, but it probably wont fit. In my case the sidepanels slid over the rivets, so if I put a screw or something there, the panel would fit anymore...
my suggestion: get some rivets and a riveteer-apparatus (don't know the name in english ;) )
Its a hand riveter unless you want one of those fancy expensive ones :p
Heres a good write-up on painting http://boxgods.com/dept/modding/index.php?Action=Article&ID=198 Lots of people use this one.

Painting outside is always the best idea, unless you're trying to get high. :D

That is the kind of high that sticks with you the rest of your life and can cause serious problems with vital organs... ALWAYS use a mask when painting (and not one of those cheap rubberband and cloth masks either).
Yes, you can replace rivets with screws, but you have to get the right size and I would reccomend self tapping metal screws. You can get them with different types of heads so they look good.
