I'm leaning towards Nvidia myself.

They're both very close the X1950 is like a slightly faster, shinier X1900.
The 7950GX2 itself is way faster but in dual graphics dual X1950s will beat the quad sli in most of the tests.

read my post in Project Worklogs "My Dream PC" on the last page i'm faced with the same problem. I'm going to stick with the nVidia myself. If i go with the ATI i'm going to have to switch mobo's. If i do that then i lose a great mobo. (ASUS P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe). The problem is that SLi is the next new technology. If you get a SLI compatible mobo now you're saving yourself the trouble of regretting it later when heaps of crossfire-ass-kicking sli graphcis cards come out later.

The choice is clear:
AMD = Crossfire <<<<<<<<<<<<< (ASUS M2N32 mobo)
Intel = Quad <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<(ASUS P5N32-SLi SE mobo)
=] =] =] =] =] =] =] =] =]

ATi doesn't give you many OCing featuers. The drivers don't let you configure the card as well as the nVidia ones do. Less control =]

Go with the 7950 gx2. Better functionality lots of power.

Then download ATi tool...

I'd go for the 7950GX2 for the sole reason that it is faster

IMO

An ati card has one purpose in life, and that is being a paperweight.

maybe if ati could figure out a decent driver system , they would get maybe a vote or 2 from me. but.. since they cant, I'll never use em.

so.. its up to each his own. i go nvidia myself to save the headache, but.. do whatever you like. the benchmark results def lean ATI... so.. boils down to personal preference.

if you want the best performer.. and its hard for me to say this, but.. ati is your choice in this card vs. card battle
