old holes... no idea

PDA screens, dont bother...
taking built in screens such as PDA's, portable DVD players, phones.. anything like that and trying to wire it to a comp is near impossoble, unless its fitted with an RGB/S-Video plug somewhere heh... i might be wrong as technology is moving on, but chances are the control board is mixed in with all the other curcuits that run the PDA and therefor impossible to seperate.. and buying control boards aint an option either im afraid.. i spent several months looking for a nice screen for my Barebone LCD mod, ended up dishing out 120 squid for the damn thing..

but other than that, the idea is nice, and good luck with it, soz if i dampened ure spirits with the screen 8)

yeh, unfortunatly there is no hope with those :( what is missing is a small board that converts the Video Signal into a format that then travels down the orange ribbon cable. As u can sort of see on my little screen, theres alot of circuit thats missing from your one, and the problem is, it will all be mixed in with the rest of the PDA. And the pink and white wires u see there are in fact the Backlite wires.

imagine the following pictures are just a bigger version of the screens you have, except this has all the "core" components and boards to make it display a PC image:

dude, chill.
almost half of your posts are from other people if you look at my thread, not a lot of people said much to me at all. besides your looking too hard to find something wrong w/ the system. you dont get a pat on the back for showing us a pic of a screen (though it is a shame it didnt pan out) and waiting an hour after you post for an answer that is relativly simple.

quit being emo.

Bend some sheet metal, drill some holes. If you can't do that, I suppose you could make some type of minimal wood or plexi bracket. If you can't do that, I really don't know how you will mount it anywhere. Just be creative. Ask relatives and friends for help with shaping metal.

1. Drill 4 holes underneath where you intended to place the rom.

2. Take 4 steel/alu tubes thats hollow at the center, prop it up on the 4 holes.

3. Get a piece of steel or plexi, slightly larger than then ROM, bend the sides and drill holes for holding the ROM. Drill 4 holes on the platform, and screw it onto the 4 tubes.

Easier way: Get your default ROM holder and just place it there. Probably some extensions needed.

You dont expect to be spoonfed every other time. THINK.
