I've found firsthand that LP gas has many of the same properties as Freon. I was thinking of making a cooling system out of LP, copper tubing, compressor chamber, pump, radiator, 2 80 mm fans, and plenty of dremel bits.
I don't think it will blow up, because only under temps over 800 degrees F will LP ignite.
Any comments?

I think this idea has "Darwin Award Nominee (http://www.darwinawards.com/)" written all over it.
When making a phase change cooling system the coolant is not the hard part.
keeping the condesation off the PCB's is. Once you have designed an insulated system of pipes and a desicated coffin around your CPU, then adding the pump and the coolant is the easy part.
You can easily take the rig once its made to an auto shop and ask them to charge it for you, or you can buy the stuff and do it yourself. Why go to all the trouble of playing around with Propane when you don't have to.
I don't think it will blow up, because only under temps over 800 degrees F will LP ignite. Ever heard of sparks? Not everything in a computer is solid state. There's a reason why combustable gases aren't used as refrigerants.
Have a look here to see how complicated a phase change cooling system can be http://vapochill.com/
Good luck to you.
If you try this be sure to test it outside incase the "ow" factor overcomes the "wow" factor.

Oh I dunno, I'm sure the performance of this thing would be explosive.

If you go through with this..
Kudos to you for having an aluminum case and titanium testicles.

lmao. I might just use a low "dosage" of Freon. Ill use rubber inlsulation for the chamber/tubes.
