View Full Version : How's this for a fan setup
I have a fan in the bottom front, under the harddrive (though I could've put the harddrive directly next to it), and I have a special fan attached to the bottom the of the harddrive. The front fan I have set to intake. I have a fan on the top that intakes. There's a fan in the back above the video card and next to the CPU fan that outakes, and then two on the side panel that outtake. Think I should switch any around?

as long as you have a frontin backout movement, and as long as the amount of air going in is less or preferably equal to that being exhausted, your set :) remember, if u'r a cooling freak, big fans are your friend ;)
Well my case only has holes for 80mm fans, but it's acrylic so I could always drill more.

That's the spirit !
oh, i've noticed u don't have a woklog up till now... so ;) ;) ;)
let us see what buggs you and how you fix it :)
Here's the whole thing, minus the power supply and video card. the case is not actually colored at all, it's completely clear. It's just that it's reactive to ultra violet light.

Here's how I have the HDD and front fan setup. The silver thing along the bottom on the HDD is a specil fan for it.

Here are the back 3 fans and the fan over the CPU. The two on the side and the one in the back all exhaust air. The video card will go in the orange slot.

And then the top fan, which intakes. As you can see in this picture, on the intake fans I have an extra metal covering to help keep out stuff.

In this picture you can better see the extra black covering.

And then here's just the whole thing, but from a distance so it's not as colored.

that's a bit strange.. did u try "exhausting" it.. all my common sense (heat rises and gets stuck in the top..) says u need a blow hole there.. not an intake.. still, if it works for you :)
2 things:
1st nice case, very moddable (did u check the project worklogs for the plexi cases made by defyant? a.w.s.o.m.e) :)
and 2nd: very good camera :) what model is it? i need one wit this much clarity :)
This is why I asked if perhaps I should switch any.
It's a Minolta DiMAGE G500, I'll look for some better pictures I've taken with it.
I was only using my picture camera for this, not my video camera, so I could only do 30 seconds of video at a time. And this, instead of my own server, I just used Youtube.
Here it is starting up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mpm1Ew5Rp8U
I decided to only get one LED fan. Since it's all clear I didn't want it to be too bright, though I'm thinking of moving it to the top to illuminate the whole inside http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSGcMriAMRQ
Here's a few of the different mods for the lights. There are 8 different settings I can have the lights on, as well as off and always on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMRB2TEaWs0
