Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place..
At my work, we have a DWL-700ap, and tried to repeat the signal using a DWL-7200ap in repeater mode.
Site survey finds the source (700ap), and lets me select the MAC address, but never get any data flow.
An email to Dlink was replied, "Buy another 7200ap, and use that as the source." Seemed like a cop-out to me, but I went ahead and picked up a second unit.
Now I'm using a 7200ap as a source unit, and a 7200ap as a repeater, and have THE SAME TROUBLE. I'm a little pissed off as I've not only spent $250 on another AP, but also put in 11.5 hrs working on it tonight, and still no luck.
Has anyone here had any luck setting up a wifi repeater, dlink or not? Any tips/tricks I need to know? The 7200 manual is useless.. "do this, then this" but no troubleshooting at all. In fact, a few resources from Dlink say "repeating is not supported", despite the advertising that they do for it.
I'm at my wits end... any help would be greatly appreciated.
