Hey guys

Just built me my pc up, and im really happy its my first pc and it booted up first time!

I purchased windows xp media centre edition and came to install it, all went smoothly until it asked for the SP2 disc....it didnt come with one :|

So when i go into windows there are no xp toolbars, no internet explorer, no nothing! Looks like 98!!

How do i rectify this?!

EDIT: i just looked and it says in "system" that it has SP2 installed.....

But this is confusing because i STILL dont have IE or any themes...not nothing!

I don't know anything about this and I know this sounds like lame advice but, I would call Microsoft. There should be a toll-free number with the disc that you purchased. They can help you troubleshoot.

And even then, themes are just a waste of time. I've grown accustomed to having the windows 98 look (with XP icons lol) on my XP macines.

Me too! You know, it's people like us that make everyone else still have icons of a floppy disk and ribbon printers in our software.

There's a name for us but I can't remember it just now...maybe someone else can?
