So as we all know, I am a complete tard. :D

I broke my BRAND NEW Wireless USB Adapter.

Now I need a replacement before my younger brother discovers that his is missing. :p

Only problem, I dont know nothing about wireless gizmos. :?

What I do know is this though, I need something that gets good strong signal to penetrate the many walls and stone (yes, about 6 inches total of solid stone wall, its a very custom and wierd house) to my fathers wireless g router.

I did a little bit of research and this is what I came up with, but again, I dont know nothing about wireless so I am just going on a whim of what might be good. :?

I agree with Scotty. 802.11g is your best bet (although anything 802.11n should be backwards compatible). Also, as far as signal levels go, the antenna on your card doesn't matter as much as the out put on the router.

N works with both G and B. Supposedly very well. But N, G, B isnt what I am concerned with really. Well actually it cant be B because I have G untill I can convince my dad to update our router or get our Netgear 240 working.

But anyways, I need an adapter. But I dont know what to get. I guess I am wanting to go MIMO but my connection is always a constant up and down because I am so far away from the router and I have to go through so much stuff like walls and rock. I can move my computer to get around the rock I suppose but the walls still create an ugly barrier.

Also I just realised my funding took a drastic turn for the worse... so I cant afford a nice one. But what do you guys think about this? Anyone know anything about it?
