So i was thinking, what if you could make a pc in the style of an imac. you know, motherboard in behind the monitor. i dont reckon you could do it as slim or as powerful with a micro atx board, but what if you had a case, with a slanted edge? id prolly do this, but im not confident in openin up an lcd. it would be an interesting concept. you prolly wouldnt get much high-end hardware (although, i spose you might be able to fit a decent pci-express gfx card if you had the mobo, i/o port on the bottom (so the top pci slot is at the top of the case, and the cpu at the bottom).

Thats completely doable, asuming your going to put an lcd and a mobo into a crt enclosure.

With a 19'' or 20'' crt you should be able to fit a standard atx mobo.

If you're going to do it, do it big. The nastiest slimline iMac has a 24" widescreen, 2.33GHz core 2 duo w/ 4MB L2, 3gb ddr2 667, 500gb sata hdd, geforce 7600 gt 256mb, 8x DVD+R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW, and a unix-based OS. I say, reproduce this machine with an atleast an overall 150% increase in size and performance. Make Apple say uncle.
