oh god... that guy is the least of the world's problems. actually, i can kind of agree with his "series of tubes" analogy. if you think of it... the internet could be kind of like a series of dynamically allocated tubes. or maybe i have no clue what im talking about either.

now take that guy, and multiply him by every senator and congressman/woman and major political figure... and you get an idea of how useless governments are. and not even just the american stuff, ill blow the whistle on my canadian government too. they're all masters of bull**** and senseless bickering.

If you say that, then you might as well say that the internet is a bunch of trucks that deliver porn to you. Now, the way i see it, is that this guy gets his job, and then asks one of the whizz kids that do all the actual work: "So, what is this interweb thingy?" And the kid explains it to him, clearly and lucidly. Which he doesn't get. Then, the kid dumbs it down a little, explaining it as one would to a child, using an old pneumatic messaging system as an example. Now old man here gets it into his head that this is actually what the internet is.

Incompetence is everywhere, folks. What are you doing to fight it locally?

At least America has its priorities right gambling on horse racing and interstate lottery.
