seems to me that the 802.11n/s/(p?) were designed for double the transfer rate of 802.11g. 802.11g was designed for 54MB/s. unfortunately 650% improvement isnt double 54... its more.

all in all, its nice and fast compared to the old stuff. its getting closer and closer to the transfer rates of wired connections.

What is the speed of wired connection?
10, 100, or 1000 (or 1 gigabit) megs/sec.

From what I understand, the 802.11n is supposed to run at 108 megs/sec. I haven't had the chance to play with it yet, but I also understand that it's backwards compatible with 802.11g and 802.11b.

Ah ic ic.

Well I am currently in my dads office and I am wired up to the router and I am only getting 100... Is this because of my mobos lan is limited to 100 or what? I have a Dell 4700 currently.
