I like to give you a chance if there's doubt. But i'm afraid i still don't see any pics. If you're hotlinking to another persons server,

1) It might not work
2) They might not like it very much.

Try hosting them on a free webspace like photobucket, or just linking to the source page.

It sure can the guys on the international space station can get the internet.

Also DaveW is from Scotland and there are a few Eastern Europeans kicking around here as well so we have a small but diverse and vibrant international group.

Nice one simon275, it's good to see people taking the time out to help each other.

Looking at your case concept pictures, the design seems nice and smooth-would love for you to talk me through your concept naspc.

Sorry about the SPAM comment earlier, we get a fair deal of SPAM on these boards at the moment and I wasn't sure.

i just like the sound of it....i think they also described the thingy in 2001 space odessey movie that. also i found this pc tower case (ny, chinatown, canal st) someone put a label on it that said golith. the case had the dimesions i need, a whopping 9" w x 25" h x 18" d. so since it was what i needed i renamed it monlith, hope that makes sense....cause i think i just confused the crap outta myself.

i would be glad to talk you through my concept, dave.
what do you want to know?

Where the idea comes from, what the special features are, what materials you have planned...etc. etc...

Basically, i'd like to know why you've chosen that design and what inspired you to do so.

the overall shape kinda came by acident, i was messing around with sketchup and there it was. i like smooth lines, scifi starship kinda look.

i have two ways i am debating on how i am going to go about this, regardless of which one it involves alot of metal work.

the first way is using the case i found in nyc. now thing has all the dimensions i need but none of the internals, backets etc... that i need. you see this beast was a pre pentium case. 486 era. i have pics before i ripped it apart, but as you know i very stupid and don't know how to post pics =P. well anyway everything right about it is over shadowed by everything that is wrong with it. the insides needs a big reworking, i might have to cut everything out and on top of it i would have to make a skeleton for it. the case as it may seem has no skeleton like our modern cases, but instead is welded in pieces.

the second approach would require pretty much involve making a sekelton and then skinning it.

for both approachs i was going to get a cheap case and gut the inards, motherboard, drive brackets etc....
i kinda want to use the first choice, i like making something new out of something old, (to much watching american chopper and hot rod!)
for the front and back bezels i am going to fabracate them from the thinnest sheet metal i can find (weight) to make them.

as for the special features, i am going to include a 5" monitor a special lighting scheme. as for paint i might go high polished steel, or a black white combo, with some heat activated sensitive paint (i have an idea....).

for the extra special feature it involves cooling, i won't go to much into it but you can kinda get an idea from the pics, it also ties in with heat sensitive paint.

thats pretty much it.
