Okay, I have a ton of mod ideas but I don't want to muck up the forums so here is the mod I am currently working on. This is so far just an exterior (case) mod and I would love any suggestions or advice.
TONKA
1. I plan on doing the case and framework in sun yellow. I don't have compressors and airbrushes and all that fancy stuff, so I am just spraycanning it. Yes, no maybe? I am spraying and drying these now, pictures when available.
2. All my bay drives and covers are going to be black, to simulate the front grill on a tonka truck. Maybe a front black grill and intake fan under the bays?
3. I want to (somehow) either do a clear top 2 drive bays or else install a window so it looks like a windshield, also cutting in side windows in line with the windshield. Should I light these or actually rip out a tonka's seats for the interior?
4. I am trying to figure out how to run an axle and put actual tonka wheels under the thing so it can roll... I am thinking hook and eye bolts into the floor and then a straight metal rod through the bolts for an axle?
5. Side window is where I am getting stuck. I was thinking an actual triangular vent window from a truck? I should be able to pick these up at any junkyard. Would it work?
6. Accessories are easy... Tonka trucks all have the little black smokestacks and then I just need to paint Tonka in the right script.
