Will a 7900gt and my specs with an extra gig of ram max oblivion with good At least 30 fps outside

With more Ram and a 7900gt Yes. Depnds what settings.

I get 30fps outside on a 6800gt.

Also at what setings though mine auto detceted at medium or something I cant remember.

Yea i think i will and urs auto detected high bacause my vanilla 6800 detected high unless urs is agp and i need it max.
I think ill get a 7900gt cause I havent heard of anyting i really want to play for dx10.

This card dont support DX10 no cards do. Cards that support it come out soon. To max obliv u might need a 7900 GTX.

If your just looked for 30 fps and high setting you should be perfectly fine. However, you might want to wait for dx10.

Ok dx10 is good for dx10 things dx9 is good for dx9 things besides i use openGl

here here =], apart from the openGL part lolz, DX10 is yet to be fully harnessed and it'll be a while before games really start benefitting from it. and besides, the lowest specs for high end games still have on them "Windows NT and 128mb of RAM", so i think DX9 will last me quite a fair bit...
