some quick questions...

1) what water cooling system do you have in your machine?
2) how easy/difficult was is to install?
3) what do you think i should put in my new rig (baring in mind im getting an am2 processor)

also i read somewhere that the 939 brackets will fit am2, is this true or do i need to look at something else...

1- Zalman Reserator 1
2- Very easy
3- whatever fits your theme/budget/space

I also heard that the 939 bracket would work on an am2 but have no experience in this.

the 939 and the am2 are supposed to be identical as far as shape/configuration, but the processors aren't interchangable. the pinouts are different on the processors. so as far as mounting stuff like fans/heatsinks/cooling stuff, it should be the same.

thanks aj, i knew i'd read something like that somewhere. that means the zalman reservator 1 should fit nicely next to my rig :)

i'm considering the corsair external cooler (can't remember the name fully)
i'd normally look it up, but im at home and let's say there's a reason im building a new rig!! this one is seriously on its last legs.

so anyone wanna buy a 3 year old amd 2000xp with a stock heatsink and fan, 512 of butchered ram outta other people's computers (i stole it when they passed out at lans etc) so i can't be sure of the spec on that. it has a 40gb hdd, and a 50speed cd drive which should have been buried with mary queen of scots. other features are a "tiltable" front cover (i ran into it with my chair one night when i was drunk) and also a fully modded side (same night, i ran over it with my chair) best thing about it, it has an ati radeon x700 gpu, with more mem on that than my computer! bidding starts at $700
