I am thinking of turning this into a retro gaming machine. I was thinking of doing a Lucas-arts adventure games case. I'm hoping to get started on this sometime in Nov. Any ideas would be appreciated. I have the case, but something isn't working with the hardware (havn't even looked at it yet though).

I have to ask: what is that lower thing sticking out the back?
By the way. I really like how the front molds into the case feet, it looks really good.
it would be nice if those eyesores werent there on the rest of the front. It would be cool to make a large pixilated logo or image of one of the classic player models on the front or something like that

Yes make a star wars case you must. May be with you force. Touch that case I can't. Gets confusing typing like this it does.

I dont really know how you would do it but it would be rediculous and awesome if you had a Sam & Max theme...

The blue thing sticking out at the back is actually part of the inside that swings out on a hinge for access to the components inside.

So this is a tribute to Day of the tentacle, Sam and Max, etc?

That sounds pretty cool...a nice paintjob, maybe some crazy transfers, clever use of clear plexi...that sounds cool. Good luck!

Now if it were ME who were doing this case, I would be completely obsessed with figuring out how to come up with some code that would play the sound effect of a lightsaber being turned on and off every time I opened and closed a CD drive...

I'm not saying that this would be totally AWESOME for you to do to YOUR mod...but that's just what I would do if this were my mod...*wink wink* *nudge nudge*

Oh man.

Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle or Sam and Max themed case would be great.

My suggestion would to just look at a ton of art from all of the games, then build on the same wacky style that they have. DotT in particular has a lot of awesome sci-fi art to draw from.

Also, if you didn't know, the new Sam and Max game (https://www.telltalegames.com/sam_and_max) comes out November 1st. Might be a good way to celebrate a reunion with old friends, eh?

Oh wow. I thought the new Sam and Max game had been abandoned.

I have (almost) all the Lucas Arts adventure games.
I'm going to focus most on Day of the Tentacle and Monkey Island. But The Dig, Full Throttle, Sam and Max, Grim Fandango, and Indiana Jones are all going to be featured.

I'm mostly going to do a really good paint job. I'm designing a mural that I will airbrush onto the side. What I really need inspiration on is something to build on the inside, like a tentacle cooling tower/air vents, or Murray's demonic talking skull. Ideas on that would be the best.

I don't have Indiana Jones I or II, Zak McKracken, or Loom. Because of that I don't plan on featuring them in the case.

I can see a few people having trouble with this: Lucasarts used to make really, really, good video games-completely unrelated to star wars in every way.

Grim Fandango? Now that takes me back. Hilarious game. good days :D

Jawa cruiser is cool, but a WORKING imperial walker would
make Lucas call you and offer to buy it.
Ok at least I would call and offer to buy it!

c'mon, you gotta do loom. That, monkey island, and lemmings consisted of my whole childhood. Even if you dont include it, get it. It so funny and i found it at the age pretty challenging. I need to make a legacy comp so i can play that old stuff.

I'll get some images from Loom and get them on there. The problem with getting it is that it is so old it is actually more exprensive than when it was released.

Do you have it?

This has been on my mind for years, but with E3 going on now and this (http://www.telltalegames.com/company/pressreleases/id-85) press release, I think it is time I got on this. I will do this mod when I move back near home this fall. All my modding supplies and tools are there. Nonetheless. I should have it done before the last episode of the new series is out.
