Big noob here >< lol. Just trying to learn some basic stuff and rules to thumb about installing LED's and fans, can you guys just post all of your basic stuff and things I should know before touching anything? Such as, where do you power the LED's from? ><
Scott. Thanks >:D!

there's stuff all over the boards on the basics. look around some - you may need to set your preferences to display all messages- as i recall, the default is to hide stuff older than a week or a month or something.

When using LED's in PC's you need to connect them to a molex connector. As ajmilton said there is heaps of stuff all over the forums lol

What's better, http://www.xoxide.com/quadligblule.html type of fan, or http://www.xoxide.com/cooler-master-r4-l8s-18sb.html
No-name VS Cooler-Master?

get the 6-pack. not only are they really bright, theyre pretty quiet. its an incredible differance if you have standard black fans right now. at least it was for me.

well, the no name does have a significantly higher rpm, and those cm's are made to be low noise, low rpm. Im sure it'll work for his application whichever he uses, but Im just pointing out some facts

Plus the fact that the 6 pack is sold out.
Besides, a fan is a fan, right? I mean, unless you really need something quiet or runs on low voltage.

A fan isnt a fan if a fan is a fan. There are a few things to consider when buying a fan. CFM, Speed, LED's. It all depends on the application. If you are building a "quiet" PC, then a quieter fan is what you need but you'll be sacrificing air flow. If your building a PC for looks alone, and you dont care to much about noise, then a generic mid noise mid CFM fan with some flashy LED's will do just fine. If your going for maximum performance and could care less if your computer sounds like a 747 at take off then a super high CFM fan is what you'll be looking for (think delta). However, with a high CFM fan you'll probly have to give up the flashy LED's and UV reactive housing.
LED's can be powered off any free molex plug cluttering up the inside of your case :)
