We all love a well written and photographed case modding worklog that allows us to follow a modder's project in step-by-step fashion; and it also gives us a sneak-peek into some wacky workshops, dorm rooms, garages and kitchens around the world. We're taking it to a new level with The Modder's Workshop Instructional Videos

We've teamed up with the guys who run The Tech Lounge (http://www.thetechlounge.com) to produce and broadcast to you these first several videos free on the web. These computer case modding instructional videos are sure to give you an insider look into the techniques,tools and materials used to create some of the most incredible case mods out there. There will also be special guest modders (like the One and Only Mashie (http://www.mashie.org) who appears in the teaser!) from around the world presenting their latest creations in these professionaly produced videos.

Yeah, that sounds great. The Alien Fossil Mouse Mod (EDIT: Which can be seen at this link (http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/index.php?module=pagemaster&PAGE_user_op=view_page&PAGE_id=22&MMN_position=8:8)) was really great in that it was a good example of some brilliant moding. And the use of video shows the viewer exactly how the whole process is done and what the final product looks like. I hope that all of this is done as well as or better than the Alien Fossil mod video. Definitely looking forward to these videos.

Yeah...I came across the teaser a few days ago. I was looking for your smoke video. The one of the doom3 case. It was 404'd so I thought I would check your /video folder out. Looks like it will be a lot of help. Any idea on when you will start releasing them?

Everyone loves free... I'm always going back to the AFM video to refresh my mind on how to work with bondo and other materials. Keeping a frame of mind that it takes time and not to get rushed in the project :D I can't help it, I want to be as good as the best around here and I WANT IT NOW!!! :D

Well I know I'm on board for more videos... I'd gladly pay and send in my videos as I get the WOPR. jr soon.

Yeah, if we're even sort-of taking a poll, I'm gonna put a vote down for free. :D

I'd definitely understand if charges had to be applied, don't get me a wrong. It's a lot of work to put in just for a couple of "Thank you"s and "Well Done"s from the Case Modding community. But free would most definitely be appreciated. ;)

And on that note, thanks so much for producing that Alien Fossil Mouse video. Really learned a lot about possibilities and the fact that looks can be deceiving. The first thought that pops into my head when I see a project like that is "I'll never be able to do that". Thanks for proving me wrong. Thanks for making it less overwhelming.

Yeah... I know. That Alien Fossil Video really opened my eye's about modding in general. :eek: Just looking at the finished product... I thought the same thing "There's no way I could do that."

I think Paul is one of the most talented people out there in the modding community. His video production skills aren't too skimpy either. I wish I had a fraction of his talent. It will take me years to even come close to having that kind of knowledge, but I'm working on it and I'm not giving up.

We can just hope that the tutorials come soon!!! ;) I can't wait to see the next one. I am in the middle of building my modding workshop and I'm off tomorrow with a shopping list of all kinds of stuff to buy. Hopefully, I'll be able to start doing some kind of mod shortly.

i agree. when i look at Paul's work, i think to myself there is no way in the world i can do anything like that. if you guys make like a DVD with a lot of tutorials, i might buy it. but free is better. :D

dvd is easy.. all you really need is some dvd cds (blank) and a dvd/rw drive :) and a video editing program

Working with styrene plastic.. Man I can't wait to see that tutorial! I'm kind of a novice when it comes to modding but love to putz around with it. I got a lot of good ideas but lack the know-how to implement them most the time. Just wanted to say thanks for the online lesson on the Fossil Mouse and any other lessons to come. I sure appreciate them!!

i dunno i just don't get it....we left like a page of clear cut..."it's not coming out anymore" postings and...ppl still ask???...well the only thing i kan't understand is why it wont be koming out...not that i'm complaining i just wanna know for my own interest...i think that everyone was looking forward to it and a lot of ppl would have loved it, but, well, **** happens eh...i think this forum is good enough though...real great work here thatnks for all the fun and interesting ideas, thoughts, tips and convo's yall.
