I like the window. Also I would like the silver part in front better if it was black.
Good job on your comp.

That's pretty good, decent internal wiring job too-nice and clean.

You don't see a lot of modders bothering with floppy drives these days ;)

LoL I Know haha but there is the Port at the front and i had a Green Floppy Drive Cable left over so i thought ill throw it in :D

Im only 16 also wich means people treat me like a dumbass in PC shops lol when i asked for a floppy drive the guy looked at me like..."Errr do you mean Extearnal HD's??"

Edit: Plus my GFX Card dosent fit the new Mobo >_< which im quite annoyed about and nor did my RAM :(

I remember when people treated me like that. Now I walk in and ask for parts, and if I get even the slightest bit of patronisation, I walk straight out again.

Regardless of your age, you don't need to put up with crap from anyone.

They never know what they're talking about anyway.:D
Ask one for a resistor for a LED and they look at you like ,
Sam, get out here, someone wants to know about real stuff:p

I think you did a real good job. And like someone else mentioned, you did a great job on hiding the wires. Nice desktop too ... except ... think folders:p

Thank You peoples

I think the Funnay that got me laughing was when i whent to PC world and some guy came up to me looking all cocky and says "can i help you young sir" so i turned round and said 2Yea ya can mate i need an AMD 939 pin CPU + a Mobo and the mobo has to be under £50 uuuuummmm allso i need 2 Akasa Fans and were is your GFX Card section ..."

He replys "......Uhhh Would you liek to go and speak to tim our tech over at the custom sevice's desk"

I just laughed at him and walked out of the shop and told my mom "...Hell no they dont have what i need lets go to Maplins"

Get your stuff from Scan.co.uk. Not only do they have good prices, very good stock and product range, but should you ever call them up with questions or problems, they treat you as an equal human being.

To be fair though, if you ever sell pre-built computers, you do get asked the most ludicrous questions by idiots. Also, there's the most hated line in the world: "My mate, he knows about this stuff, he says it's the drivers." Insert whatever his stupid mate has said there. ;)

Today I thought i should sort out my wires in my puter mainly because I'm a perfectionist and i like to have things done right so i took out my HD and DVD-RW + floppy then re-routed all my IDE cables and power leads all round teh back of my case ..

picks below

http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/8489/pc3py9.png

http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/2258/pc4ha0.png

http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/3853/pc2rs9.png

So after fiddle ass routing my cables around my case for 20 mins and a pepperoni pizza the wiring is done next step is to get my New DVD-RW and a new GFX card + another stick of RAM since one just when up the shoot last night ...bloody thing

very nice case, great attention to detail... only one small thing which bugs me... The little converter-box for the lights. You should either try to hide it or maybe paint it (black I think).

and maybe you could change the wires for your power button and leds (bottom of mobo). It now hangs a bit in the case. maybe you could make them go behind the mobo, under the drivebay and up to the front. Or maybe your wires aren't long enough...

But other than those small details, VERY nice job

lmao. nice. Could use a personal touch... Think of something creative and original to do to it (sorta like a "signature").

i really like the AMD cut out, mind if i steal that idea for my comp?

back to the pc world thing, i went in once looking at prices for HDD. i overheard a pcworld dude telling this guy that his pc was bum because it didn't have onboard usb (this was a few years ago) and that they didn't have a product that made it so his pc would work. after the pcworld dude left, i went over to the guy and pointed out a pci card for 25 quid, then told him that he could get it cheaper online if he wanted!

as for scan.co.uk, fantasic company, good delivery times (although quite annoying if you only have a debit card since they insist you put down your home address and have it delivered there) aside that though, the delivery is on time and within the boundries of the instructions you set. the product range is good and they're always ready to help you if you have a problem.

i don't like overclockers.co.uk anymore. they seem to charge too much for everything, plus that i get free delivery from scan. another good one to look at is yoyotech.co.uk who are based in central london. if you can get there (it's just down tottenham court road) then you can get web prices on the highstreet, plus they're always ready to do a deal, so sometimes you can get it cheaper than the web, which is nice. they also stock some good items for gamers and know what they're talking about since they're all trained to know what goes with what and they have a tech support guy (who smells pretty bad) on hand all the time to answer your questions should you need him, but in fairness, the sales assistants can do that job pretty well.

got my new mobo from scan. 210 quid on highstreet, 156 in yoyotech, 152 from scan. nice!!

I have an idea :D. Make a stencil with an exacto-knife (I have a swivel one :p) and cut out the AMD logo w/ a square outside. Spray it on, and get a little around the edges to give it a defined look. You could use your screenname too (WOOT AIM).

a maplins has just opened up near to where i work so, still needing a case, i dropped in to have a look. they're cheap for cases (which is nice) and i've found one with good modding prospects and plenty of the all important windows!!

i horrified one of the sales staff in there though when i completely dismantled the case to have a good look at it. he was like "you can't do that"
i put the thing back together in about 10 seconds flat and he was "oh ok"

then he proceeded to ask me if i needed any help with anything... duh, mate i just stripped a case and put it back together in front of you, does it look like i need help?

he then recommended the "pc" on the end............ he said it was very powerful........ it was an empty case that came with a psu!!!! JEEZ these guys need to get some sk1lls!!

i really want my pc to look something special (since the guts of it are costing me £1300 (2600USD)) so i walked out without the cheapy case. i may go back tho, it's got some good modding potential, and it's a tooled case. i've been trying to find one i like, but most have gone tooless.
