Posible laptop Mod

I have a Compaq Presario V2000 laptop. It has been having some issues with the keyboard messing up. I have sent it to HP for service work. If it does NOT get fixed then I am going to have to figure out a way to mod the system. I thought of building a case that would enclose the system as is, similar to an all-in-one PC. I would have to build a stand for it but this shouldn't be a problem.

Another possibility is buying or building a small-form factor case and creating a separate case for the LCD widescreen. I am a novice to PC modding and I have only built one PC. I have a lot of knowledge when it comes to how to build them, however. I know there is a lot of talent on this message board so any help will be well taken. Thanks guys/gals.

(Just remember that the keyboard problem MIGHT get fixed so this is just a possibility.)

As someone wanted to do in another thread, you could put it in a PS2 case or an old DVD player/VCR. Actually, if you wanted it all-in-one, try to find an IMac case of the same screen size to put it in.

I hope it gets fixed as the whole "portable" aspect of a laptop is probably important to you.

:banana: Well looks like HP Support fixed my keyboard problem on my laptop so no mod needed yet. I definatly let you know when it is going to happen though.
