So I was playing Wow and the game started to lagg a bit look at the latency it was fine. Then I noticed the case fans where going really fast. Hmmm So I alt tabed out of wow to the desktop and right clicked on the nivida thingy to tell me my graphics card temp
98 Degrees
Pushes power button computer turns off. Thank good for the ATX standard.
I hope I havent killed it because I need my computer and Now is not the time for an upgrade as I am in my exams. So it will have to wait until I can buy a 3rd party cooler and some better case fans after my exams. Stupid super lan boy case dam fans aren't fast enough.

What type of card are you running? I'm curious for the safety of mine when I get it up and running again, lol.
Get a zalman cooler for your gpu, and some high cfm sleeve fans for your case.
It might not be a bad idea to make a blowhole at the top if possible with a fan to exhaust the hot air. That alone might drop the temps in your case ~15 deg.
What was the temp on your proc or mobo?

I am confused does this kit come with VGA RAM heatsinks the support my VGA card not the water cooling block but just the heatsinks.
EDIT: I am buying a set of vga ram sinks sepeartly as they are needed for my card and the don't come with the kit.

water cooling always is the best way to go if u dont mind the hassle, trust that theres no leaks, and get a good system. Plus u can add that cool UV coolant! lol

98 degrees? Farenheit?? or Celsius? if it was Farenheit then thats actually normal operating temps. If it was 98 Celsius then it would have been most likely on fire, and smoke would have come pouring out of the case.
Umm..here. (http://www.wbuf.noaa.gov/tempfc.htm)

graphics cards can safely reach 90C these days, at least ati cards state that as the suggested upper limit in their Radeon cards, although I would suggest staying under 70C. I would suggest the zalman v700 coolers for anyone on the basis that they are cheap and perform great. It is a mystery to me why they put such incredibly bad coolers on ALL graphics cards...

"I was playing Wow..."
"Now is not the time for an upgrade as I am in my exams."
So you have time to play WoW, but don't have time to upgrade? I don't think now is the time to play Wow. That is unless your whole party is in the same class and you guys are studying together in the virtual world.

Yeah so my grpahics card when just surfing the web runs at 61 degrees which is ok but I shouldn't be that high. So the watercooling kit arrives in a few days. And once it is installed I can start gaming again.

you'll have to let me know what the reserator v2 is like. i'm still tempted by the reserator 1v2, but it all depends on finances. the wife spotted a case that she likes (she wanted a say in that bit as that's the bit she looks at!) bloody 235 quid for a case........... :o
it's the isotope she's seen, and she likes it, so there's no way im getting a different one now!
another external water cooling kit you could have looked at was the nautilus 500.
i'm looking forward to installing my water cooling kit, should be quite interesting!

The thing is we wanted it from an Australian supplier and my dad payed for it so we went with a supplier with a good rep in Australia. http://www.pccasegear.com.au/
The corsair nautilus 500 doesn't sound that good.
http://www.atomicmpc.com.au/article.asp?SCID=16&CIID=60707
And it only comes with a CPU block and I want GPU cooling as well.
Plus the reserator v2 is silent and has enough cooling power to cool my CPU and GPU.
Put up a pic of the case you are going to get I have never heard of the isotope.
235 quid is like $580 here that is a lot of money for a case.
I will review the reserator v2 when I install it and post some benchmarks and stuff for you and the other people who inhabit the forums.

Yeah its a great site sorry to burst your bubble but I have known about and bought stuff from them before. Still a good site though. While they are good for computer parts the best site for computer modding supplies in Australia. Heh yeah I can drive to scorptec to it only taxes 13 hours.
