I'm looking for a 24 inch monitor to run on a 7950GX2 graphics card.
Nothing over a grand and capable of a fast responce time for games and such.

I've been considering a Viewsonic model but i'm interested if there is any other brand i should go with.

Here (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?Category=19&N=2010190020+1309821328+4022&Submit=ENE&SubCategory=20) is the newegg page for screens under $1000.

I recommend the Benq screen. Here (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824014124) But veiwsonic screens are good to.

This (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=320-4335) is the Dell 24" UltraSharp ($680) and this (http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore?family=AppleDisplays) page has the Apple 23" Cinema LCD ($999) (same resolution, smaller pixels). Both of them have usb ports built into the screen.

I like the UltraSharp Dell, it seems very stylish with plenty of features and priced reasonably =]

anyone know the responce time on this?
(oh and i've realised that the Viewsonic models only go up to 22", my bad, if anyone knows any good 22" models then i'm more then happy to switch to 22")

i'm an aussie so anything at 999 would cost me over a grand, dam prices, sorry =P

well the 22" Viewsonic model is selling for AU$580 so i might get that. Unless i find a 24" model around AU$700

Viewsonic has 8ms responce time =D

Well, once you pick a monitor, search for some reviews. Make sure the review of it includes stuff like color accuracy, backlight leakage and uniformity, no loss of detail in blacks, etc.
