WHAT IF I HAD A SLIDING MOTORIZED DRIVE CAGE ? AND AFTER IT SLIDES BACK AN LCD MONITOR FLIPS UP WHERE THE CD DRIVES WERE.:think: :banana:

hmm...sounds intresting...you could do it off like a cd drive based system to push the screen up...and you woulnt have to pull the screen back very far.....interesting idea...

Just one problem though, I forgot what those motors are called. The kind that wraps aroud a rail with teeth to make it slide in or out. (Dont make any comments about that sounding gross) you'd know if you watched pimp my ride when they made that giant flip up monitor on the back of the truck and they used that special motor to make it slide out.

I found good use of an air compressor its 12 volt dc but it runs of the plug that goes into the cigarrette lighter of a car so how do i convert it to molex so I could use it for a custom air cylinder to make the lcd monitor rise up

if its a 12 volt compressor..i believe you could just splice it into a molex connector..you would just need to find which cable goes to the ground
and which would go to your 12 volt line
