Hey modders!
This is my old case from around 2002. Its completely home-made, using a car-heating as radiator for the watercooling.
Special effects are the blacklights that are swimming in the water reservoirs.
98% Plexi (:

All controls are on the front panel: LAN-Status, CD/DVD knobs, Headphone Plug, ...
If you are interested, I can post some more details and pictures.

Nice case. How well does the car radiator work in cooling the system.

lol That is so cool!
I would fix the black lights though... have them dead center and fixed so they arent crooked looking. But in a way the fact that they are just "swimming" like you said in there is pretty cool too!
Nice job!

Hey, thanx for your comments!
As I wrote in my other thred:
I had been inactive in modding for 2 years now. But this forum is so inspiring and your comments encourage me to plan something new...
Perhaps you will find new plans in the other thread around new year, when i have some free time ((:
@ajmilton: Pics will follow. The MoBo is mounted vertically on the right side when you look on the front of the cube. Like in any other traditional case ((;
I have to admit, that I had so much space inside the box that I could pack the components in almost any way. That way seemed to be the most simple way.
@simon275: The car radi worked perfect. But as you perhaps can see, I have a 12cm fan for it. So its not passive, like I planed it first. But with a light airflow the system kept realy cool.
Biggeest problem I had with this case was the size and the resulting instability. I had to be realy careful, when I was travelling to LAN-Parties... Thats why I build CUBE 2 and disassembled my REACTOR. But I still keep the 4 water reservoirs for future projects. (I am proud on them :) They are made by cutting a plexi-cylinder twice and glueing the quarters to some plates.

@SnowFire: I planed to fix the blacklights but unfortunately the case was only a design study and survived only a year or two and I never realy finished it, because I knew it was too unstable.

That's pretty cool! I am not sure if the blacklight effect is coming through in the photos well or not but it's inventive. I love your switch plates, I'd swear there should be a "launch" button on there somewhere. Nice job!

That case is bad ass, looks awesome the way you mounted it on the wall

@jdbnsn: I agree, the "Launch" Button is missing... There will be one on my next mod ((:
@NocturnaL and Vertigo: Thanx. This baby was so big that I had no other chance than to mount it on the wall, in times when big monitors needed their place on the desk.
@Nocturnal: Is the pic in your signature self made? If so, which program was used for it? The waves look great!

Technically no, it was'nt self made, but it was just a small fragment of a Huge high res picture that i really liked. So i cut it out and cleaned it up and put it into a sig. All done with photo shop...Thanks for the recognition tho, i love it

Look cool.) how you did this water color?
|NQ|Squelsh
11-13-2006, 04:32 PM
Thanx Darth,
the color comes from Aqua-Computer, a german Water-Cooling-Company. Its UV-active (dont know, if thats the right description in english), which means it glows when you light it with blacklight. It also prevents your system from rust. Some drops were enough for the 3 liters in my system.
Nowadays you can order this stuff in every modding shop in all colors...
