What is the modders vault?

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=76

Are you gonna use to put all the best threads in from the forums or something. Or is it a vault filled with arcane modder secret information that if read will lead to the world ending with a small but significant POP!

I thought we'd try a password protected area, invitation only type forum...guess I'm just bored tonight

While it sound like a good idea. I think it will be more trouble then it is worth. Because some people will be left out and this leads to squablling e.g. "Why I am excluded bohoho......." kinda thing. Also it doesn't sought of foster newbies. I have seen this happen on other forums it mainly discourages new users and leads to fighting. But I am just a member and the fourm is yours so its up to you.

Perhaps I'll do some live webcam modding tutorials from my workshop with Q&A sessions. ;)

Wow that would be really cool. Online virtual modding help. To make it easier maybe you could do a video cast kinda thing with a tutorial and maybe people could submit questions and you could answer a few. This way you could do it at your own lesiure. Instead of the troubles of doing it live. Anyway sounds like exicitng times ahead.

You know what I'd like to see? How to dismantle a CDROM drive and use the parts to build an action-packed blast door opening thingy! I mean I know how to dismantle just about anything (some folks call this the easy part), but how the heck to make it start, stop, stay on track??? Another idea for the water cooling naive (ahem..quietly raising hand in the back of an empty room) is to actually see someone assemble (some folks call this the hard part) a watercooling kit from the box, slap it all together and start the testing for leaks. I would benefit from this, of course, I couldn't get backstage passes at the Cheetah Club in LA so I probably can't get into the VIP forum. Damn!

Oh, I forgot one. I would also tune in to see someone etch a design into plexi using a dremel. Even if you had a router attchment I don't get how one can smooth out the grooves to look so clean, or get to the sharp corners. Maybe there is already a forum how-to on these and I have just missed it, wouldn't be the first time.

I'd be interested in everything.. just make sure it's done in a podcast sort of fashion so I can catch up later. I need customers so I can quit working so many damn hours!
