So other than the price... what is the difference? I don't understand? I looked at both stats and compared them and they are like 99.9 percent the same?

oh! lol I'm sorry, I didn't notice the "50" part. I was only looking at the first two numbers. ^^

Okay, So that means it's a dual core chip? What does that mean? Also whats the difference between XT and Pro?

yeah...kinda like the nvidia 7900 and 7950....the 7950 is the dual core card

now as far as XT and PRO go....idk...lol

So what does the dual core do for me? What does it do? Is it much better than a single core or just slightly?

Does anyone know the difference between XT and Pro? Which is better?

I don't think ATI has a dual core card. From looking at it i think that they are actually 2 different cards meaning that there is a 1600PRO and XT and there is a 1650PRO and XT which is why XT is a better ranking but the PRO card is more expensive.

So, the 1600XT may be a FASTER card because of its XT status but the 1650PRO may be a BETTER card because it is newer.

sorry
simply put, as far as i know ati does not offer a dual core card. the 1600 and 1650 are just two different cards, the 1650 being the newer one.

Those 2 are identical to each other in every way. But, what happened to the speed on XT?

alright.. you guys are just making things very messy. ill save you though.

the x1650 is an update to the x1600. its got a few tweaks, and i believe its made on an 80nm process versus 90nm for the "old" 1600. other than that, they ARE very similar.

bottom line is that you want the x1650 for the extra few dollars involved. it gets you a bit more performance. and then theres always overclocking...

oh, and NO, it isnt a dual GPU card.
