Im looking into building a full sized ATX computer into a briefcase. I think that the look would be very cool and also I would like to be able to move my computer easily from school to home during the summer. I'm fully capable of lifting a heavy computer as I do a great deal of rowing, so weight isn't a huge issue. I'm not going for water cooling also.

Probable components:
Foxconn C51XEM2AA Mobo (AM2)
AMD 64 X2 5200+
2GB DDR 800 RAM from G.Skill (price is the major issue, these guys have decent reviews and 4-4-4-12 timings for like 220$ for 2X1GB)
2 X 80GB SATA HDDs (For now, probably upgrading to 250s mid '07)
GeForce 8800 GXT (not going to buy until Feb probably, unless Santa likes cash this year!)
Modular PSU 500 - 600 Watt range (Corsair's HX 520 Maybe?)
DVD-Ram Slot drive (any way to water proof... maybe

My main concerns right now this this idea is cooling and finding a decent briefcase that fits the parts. Im hoping for the shiny aluminum, how can I resist. Doing meal doodles on napkins from memory I'm coming up with minumum interior dimensions of 13" Wide, roughly say 24" long and say 8" deep.
As for cooling I'm trying to think of possible ways to make detachable covers for 10cm fan holes.

Theres my latest musings. Ideas and critiques very welcome,

Instead of detachable covers for the fan holes... how about some sort of door. It could either swing out 180 degrees so you don't have to worry about knocking/bending it. Or have it slide into the case kind of like those big warehouse doors (don't have to make it roll up).
