Go to radio shack.. ask for a "nibbler".. small tool that works pretty well for lite steel.. cost of about 10.00 usa.

are you trying to cut metal, plexi?
i understand nibblers are great for cutting metal, but they won't do jack about cutting your plexi :p
plexi you can score and snap if it's thin enough, cut with a rotary tool, jigsaw, etc. just got to use the right blade for the power tools or it'll melt and turn out poorly.

I used this tool to cut my window:

If you are just very carefull and take your time and always wear protection (for your eyes) it should be no problem...
you can also use a dremel-like device...
I would suggest a dremel with reinforced cutting disks, a coping saw or a nibbler.
