Cheapest I could find...

Mobo (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813135002)
Ram (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820141165)
Cpu (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819104245)

Total = $120
Total = ?63 pounds?

If you want local, search for those products in your area.

Hope that helps. If not, maybe be more specific? More details? Btw, cheap technology will cool differently (easier) than your more standard or above standard technology. For example, something that would cool a celeron won't necessary cool a pentium extreme as effectively as it did with the celeron.

Not necessarily. My old Socket A was very hot compared to my new Core 2 Duo. In some cases this may be true, but the C2Ds and newer stuff is actually better than older tech.

What kind of stuff?

If you are talking about H2O Kits, then this is what you should do as I understand it...

Only connect power to your H2O kit, nothing else, and then run it like that for a period of 24 hours to however long it takes you to feel comfortable that its working the way it should.

I believe that is the way to do it is it not? Anyways, if it leaks then it should be fine because nothing else was powered up. Just get a cloth and clean it up real well.

im making my own watercooling setup that i want to test on an actual computer im also designin my own heatpipe coolin system

Then you'll need waterblocks for both systems, so that will get costly just to test stuff. Unless you get the same socket test system as you real system will be, but I don't think you'll do that.

Are you talking about scratch-building your own watercooling system, blocks and all?

I see, I've seen waterblocks made before and you can use vehicle heater cores as rads. Just be sure you make all the parts of the same type of metal.

thought bout that but wwhen i tryed to get on off a motobike they tryed to charge me 200 pounds for that i might as well buy ready made ones so i think i shall just stick to making my own blocks

What are you making the blocks out of? This would make a real interesting worklog....

I don't know how true this is, but I understand that you need to use metals that match the radiator and any other metal contacts or the water can corrode. May be wrong about this but I'd look into it anyway, unless you already have.

i say test the system for a day, make sure no leaks then put that money towards a cheapo milling machine. (to make good water blocks you will probably need one)
