Hey, new to the forums, and would appreciate any help

I have recently installed a Nvidia 7900 GTO into my computer, and yet no matter what i try, it refuses to be detected.

I believe i have a 939 socket pci express mobo with ATI express 200
580W PSU

...i honestly dont know what else to put.

Again, any help?

Go to Nvidia's web site and download their driver for that card. Hope that helps; it helped me when i got my Radeon 9600.

I downloaded the drivers but they wont install with the message

"The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit"

yeeeeeh, ah...stupid question, but do you activate the AGP slot in the BIOS? I had to on some MSI board

i've looked into the bios, and there is a init display boot with 3 options

pci, on card vga and pci express

i was wondering if changing the pci, which is the default setting to pci express would make the card boot up before the intergrated xpress 200?

It's worth a try. If it don't work, it can always be switched back.

thanks for the offer, but i honestly dont know the actual board, i'm gonna test the card in a mates pc, if it comes back ok, it looks like its dismantle time for the current pc for parts for a new one

Shouldn't there be something in the BIOS that lets you enable/disable onboard graphics? I think this is different than the thing you talked about earlier.

you must uninstall the integrated graphics driver as well as all other old graphics drivers before you go to install the fresh driver. the priority order should be PCIExpress, integrated, PCI. Other than that you probably have to RMA.
