Take 1 unloved beige box and make it great! well that’s the idea, I have an X-blade that’s just too kitschy looking now, and a bit big for under my desk so trawling through mums loft I found an old atx min tower in fetching scuffed and dented beige, so the fronts been removed and a few things moved and a test coat of black tryed out on the main frame.

I'm not rushing things due to my work commitments but I hope I can make it worthy of this site!

Looking good so far! Keep up the good work! Also, did you mold that front? Or is that the way the case is...? What are your plans for colors and what not? Post more pictures and get working!!! Woo hoo!

Scwol.!!!

I'll find a pic of its unmodified evil twin to just show how much a subtle mod of the front can end up taking, hopefuly today the front will be silver (if I can find a shade I like!) and the fans will mounted.

Watch out for newspaper and paint, it tends to stick. Try and use cardboard or something, it's less likely to leave marks. Or even masking tape. But i've had...bad experiences with Newspaper.

Looks not bad so far, keep up the good work. :)

Pretty nice so far. I'm guessing it looks alot better in real life due to the picture quality. I hate when you cant get your full potential on forums because of the lack of a nice camera lol. Looks nice tho

Well I've been to ill to do much over the week but today I got the digi cam working and assembled some of the chassis:banana:
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y142/corinne1965/DSCI0066.jpg
The colour of the front panel is Citroen meteor grey (metallic) with the chassis is satin black.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y142/corinne1965/DSCI0076.jpg
I had fabricate a small switch module for the control panel, the have LED internal lighting so also act as power and hard drive lights, I planned to mount them on the panel but its was just too flimsy.

The stainless steel screws had been bought for another project but the just fitted the bill, the extra grill in the side is for a modified PSU fan port, which will be started after Christmas.http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y142/corinne1965/DSCI0072.jpg
And here is the nearly finished project aside its bog standard brother, hopefully tomorrow the motherboard, drives and temporary PSU.
and some shots of it lit up and the little skull glowing:twisted:

The little skull was a car air freshener I bought on holiday in the summer,it didn't work to well but it looks fine with LED's in it (I'll have it wired up on my next photo post, fingers crossed).:D

Well thats finished (finally) I've got another 2 cases kicking around the loft plus the X-Blade that I want to de-kitch sightly and refurbish (3 house moves in 2 years have too thier toll on it) I'm thinking a proper theme for that one something around a Paganism/Pentagram idea I have wich will go well with my wardrobe, and music collection.
Back to "Little Skull" heres the final set of photos.
