For a guy: Couple of cases of beer and some questionable magazines?

somthing for your room like a poster or something like that?

What is it, a posted signed by the Beatles or something?

Hell, just take the money!

Get yourself LOST on DVD. Then your folks will think computer obsession is nothing compared to the obsession you'll have for that show, and stop bothering you.

Tools, man. Get some tools.
Convince them you're gonna do something creative for a change, then use them for a killer mod.

tattoos, when done right, are awesome. just make sure its something you really like, and put it in the right place.

im actually thinking of getting one eventually. since i like travelling so much, ill probably have the the continents put on me in black, and anywhere ive been will be shaded in red. of course the end goal will be to have everything red.

Does that include Antarctica too?

As sirkillalot typed, a hobby is an excellent idea. My favorite is R/C helis (helicopters). For $190, you could get the "E-Flite Blade CX2 RTF" (ready to fly) heli.

That's an awesome idea, slug.

Get yourself into a new hobby, or a sport. Us nerds need to get outside.

I am sick and tired of computers as well, as I've been building them etc since I was 11. I do gymnastics (let the gay remarks start to flow), so I was hoping for a trampoline this christmas to practice with, perhaps. Also, I'll be asking for paintball stuff for sure, which I am starting to get into fairly heavily. Why not pick up a sport, an instrument, etc?

I like diversifying my interests, computers can't be everything I'm into.

general HARMLESS mayhem is a fun hobby. harmless being the key word. as long as you arent hurting anyone theres no limit to what you can get away with amazingly.

for instance... a couple years ago, i dressed up like a big hot dog and went to school. i brought along a bunch of mustard and ketchup, and started spraying myself down with it while screaming "eat me". only thing was that i half taped my mouth so it sounded more like "eebwah". i made a huge mess, and i was only asked to leave... they didnt even call the cops or get my name or anything.

me and my friends put random posters up too. we're always doing election posters everywhere even though there isnt an election. we'll leave a number to call on the posters too. im not sure if anyone actually DOES call, but some poor bugger is probably fed up by now because we use the same number every time.

anyways... hobbies are good, and fun, and very entertaining.

For me, I play a lot of guitar and snowboard. If you have anyplace to do that (or snow for that matter) I would try some of that. I could spend an entire day just snowboarding if I didn't have school.

Otherwise, you could do something with photography, painting, video editing, anything you can think of really. With that much money to spend, you could get started with all those things. Like buy a nice camera or something.

You could put the money towards materials and bulid a projector. You can find more info www.lumenlab.com

Either a hobby or a TV series on DVD that you like.
If you want it to be outside and physical, try archery or hiking.
Treeclimbing is another one that's becoming more and more rare among adults.

@Slug, that sounds really funny. It seems the smarter people are the stupider things they do for entertainment. A kid in my grade who went to MIT left a whole raw chicken in his locker over spring break and then took the decompsing parts and put a piece in all of his friends lockers. The hallways stank like rotting chicken for a month. His chunk of lockers had to be sectioned off until the could clean his and the surrounding lockers out with bleach due to the fluids. It was rather funny and he only got a week out of school for it. Ah, high school.
