OK, I have been researching this project for some time now wanting to get everything right before I started dumping money into, now I finally think I got it ready to start, however I really need some advice on this feature ... I found this today...

Is that not the sickest S@!#$ you ever seen??? I have to do it. This one is a little over $16,000 so it's a little out of my price range but I think I can do it myself I can learn a little more about LCD screens... I need a Guru, one of you awsome modders to help a poor little noobie sap make the sickest computer ever.

I'm gonna put 3 19" flat pannels in this case..
http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/mbstores-store_1920_46919773
Dimensions: 13.6" x 18.6" x 8.3"

Along with 2 TB Storage
4GB Ram
couple DVDRW's
The works.

I think I can manage most of the modding myself, the case is big enough to give me plenty of room to fit all the componants, and the screens, however, I need to know how do I power three Screens? How do I connect them so they act as one giant monitor?? What would be the best model to use? What kind of hinges should I use, How do I wire it? Do I cut the wires and splice all three together? Do I need 3 different VGA cards?? I've really no idea how to do this. So if there is anyone out there who might be able to help I would greatly appriciate it, also any doccumentation, or tuterals on modding LCD's would be great if you know of any out there..

Thanks alot!! Cant wait to start this sucker!

Hey SilentJ,

Maybe I'm missing something...
But you're going to put 3, nineteen inch flat planels, inside a 18.6 inch case?
Without bezel?

I would spend some time in the rookies nook there is a LOT of info if you spend the time to go through the posts and surf the links in depth.
i would assume that the other forums are also very informative too (but ive yet to get much into them)
read read read, it would take ages to answer all those questions properly...

i dont believe itll take an expert to get the job done, you just need to be sure to support the displays so they dont break. essentially youll just be routing all the connectors and panels to a different location, so just remove all the plastic bits in the way and move the screens around a bit. just be careful. lol

and yes, this is possible, what others failed to mention in their posts is why the monitor measures more than the case while being physically smaller. monitors are measured corner to corner and that case is not.

Took the words from my mouth.

If you measured my 17in monitor, It's not 17in tall and 17in wide (but I'd sure as hell like that), it's 17in at the diag, either top left to bottom right or vice versa.

I was reading this, and I have no beef with the dimensions of 1 monitor fitting in the case, that's fine.

2 monitors will fit as well, i would assume you put one where the case "window" would go, and the other on the backside of the mobo tray.

But the third?

Unless you are putting the monitors on the handle?

EDIT:
Nvm, I get it, you want the screens to fold out. I don't think you will be able to stack three monitors on top of each other and have space :(

Looking forward to the updates! GLGL

PS: I wish I had one 19'' :(

I know, i know, but it still made me laugh. I shouldn't have posted that though, it's not really constructive. Sorry dude.

Now it clicks that it will, in fact, fit.

HA!!!

I missed something after all!

But what the heck... these boards are fun.
It's all in good spirit. :)

Peace guys!

you know, that triple flat panel idea would actually be a really nice thing to include in the mod im working on. but alas, all i have to work with i is what i have laying around, three 13"-15" CRTs, not gonna work

I don't think 3 monitors plus the actual pc will fit in there. Super cool ideas: Use actuators to have them come out automatically when you open the case !

they're not gonna be in it only the comp. will, while the monitors are stacked and fold up on the front.

wut if after you foldit out, u can fold it upwards and get a huge 56" screen! (not like you can power that many screens)
