just get the 5700le for 100 its the best for the price. If your going for lower than that get the 5500

I DO NOT reccomend buying any product from nVidia older than a 6600GT. If you save some money, you could easily get a 9800Pro or 6600GT. Steer far away from the FX series, ESPECIALLY for HL2. The game is coded (thanks to ATI) in a special shader prescision setting. The FX series uses low prescision shaders. As a performance example, an FX5900XT is outperformed by a measely 9600Pro. I'll give you a link to AT if you prefer to have a look at the HL2 video card roudup.

yes...but i only have a pci slot....No pci e no agp only PCI!

my friend was in the same boat as you are. he went with 9250 and pretty happy with it

do you think everyone has money for a good comp? what if his grampa Joe got him HP for christmas and it didnt have AGP. sometimes you have to live with what you have.
