Does anyone know of a place that sells sandpaper 600 - 2000 grit. I'm in the NYC area. I'm looking for a stores in either Manhattan or Queens as I know those areas the best, preferrably Manhattan though). The home depot near me is pretty under stock as the highest grit they have is 600, and that's only for the regular sanding block. The highest grit for their power tools are 320 (I've been looking for a store that sells 400 grit sandpaper).

Thanks in advance.

Wal*mart sells it in their automotive area near the automotive paint and such.

The problem with wal*mart is that there are none in the nyc metropolitan area, and I currently don't have access to a car at the moment. (Ironically the Wal*Mart they were trying to build in Queens was rejected by city. :( )

Generally, the automotive stores that have a body repair section will have a selection of 600+ grits in wet/dry sandpaper. Look for the section with spraypaint. Places around me are Pep-Boys, Checker, Napa and the like.

Yeah, I was googling all night on the subject and it seems that's where everyoen is getting their high grit sandpaper. I'll look into it, later on today.

Thanks for the help everyone! :)
