I was wondering where the spyware rvlknlg.exe is stored on an infected computer. I seem to have it, and its really bugging me (slowed performance, grinds to a halt at times).
C:\windows\system32
For more on it look here:

often times, files hid in system32, where most of the windows goodies are. even though some sites say it puts itself there, i've found that in rare cases, i don't know why, it ended up in c:\windows or C:\windows\system.
btw, did you try spybot or ad-aware and they just missed it?

My Sys32 file was hidden by the virus, so I ran LTOOLS to get into my sys32 folder and delete the virus. Now, my computer is running twice as fast :)

LTOOLS? info?
also, if you find that the virus is a pain, safemode can be a big help, even though it means restarting at least twice. that means loading windows. twice. not my idea of a good time.

It lets you access all hidden files and folders, and even lets you transfer files and explore across partitions.
