That's an amazing case. It's a little too rich for my blood, but I love the idea of the flip USB's, and those cooling fans look heavy duty. This case is made for serious cooling, and silence.

With your system specs, and the space you have, I'll go with WC and see how far your can push this baby

Seriously, for your first mod, and you have the case to hide them, I'll put 1 ccfl to show your board, and maybe a short one behind the HDD. I'll Paint the mobo tray in black or with UV paint. Maybe a little etching on the window... well that's a good start. And it also depend on how far you're ready to go. For my part, I think the best way to see what this case can do is to diseassemble it and know everything it hide.

have fun :)

Just a last warning: Modding is addictive

I think thats a sweet case as it is, but if you must mod it, make sure its all planned out first.

Oh yeah. Listen to this man.

If you don't, you'll either just do the mod and probably fail horribly, or you might just go about doing the mod, but it will take a LONG time to finish, and might not be very good either.

So yeah. Plan it.

I am lucky enough to own a body shop ... ( no i know nothing about doing the actual work ) other than bottom lines and productivity etc...

http://www.renshawauto.com

Anywoo - I was thinking of having them paint it with a custom paint job and not really disturbing the case to much ( i think its really nice as is ) except for custom thumbscrews and other finishing touches like that or ideas i can get from you guys

this is the color i was thinking of a chameleon paint job that turns 3 differant colors as you view from differant angles - *note I do not understand the feasability of painting it but seems like i should be able to with naked case /shrug

I really would like to do water cooling any suggestions .. someone said to say away from it being frist build and all but I love all the colors on the inside with a water system or should i not

About watercooling in that case... It depends on how you want to do it. First off, do you want to have it external or internal? I saw a company put an internal water cooling kit in this case and it looked ugly. They stuck the radiator on the top two fan exhausts and the screw heads show.

I'm not sure if that is the only/easiest way to do it. But if it is, I would build my own mounting frame to stick the radiator to.

If money is not an issue than go for it. I would say buy a cheaper case and practice than move to that. Thats just my take.

not really gonna "mod the actual case" other than a paint job and new screws and such .... then gonna buy some water colling stuff for inside...

mostly cosmetic fluff...

I think the case is almsot perfect as is

Here is a link to the article (http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=7179), but it isn't a "how to" article. It is an article about a company's product. So I don't know if it will help you much.

In my opinion, I thought it looked bad. I don't like how the screw heads were visible (sticking out of the mesh). I would figure out a way to mount the radiator (1 240x120 dual radiator instead of 2 singles like in the pic) another way to keep the original look at the top of the case. But that is just me.

But do what you want to do and go for the look you like. This is your PC after all. Don't forget to post some pictures too! I would love to see a watercooling setup in that case and that killer paint job!

Would this turn out looking right?

I am leaning heavily towards "wanting the inside of my computer to feel like the look of a show cars engine all chrome and what not with flourest type lighting to show it off

instead of the UV glowey stuff

if i cant get my hands on one of the above maybe this and skip water cooling since the conroe is so much more energy efficient anyway can get and maintain 4.0 speed on air anyway

Or maybe even a key starter switch /shrug

I think you get the idea of what im thinking ... any thoughts?

I love those parts :) it will look so nice into that case. Alot of work (fun) ahead of you, can't wait to see the progress

Edit, maybe you can find a way to mod your Zalman heatsink to make it llok like this http://www.zuko.com/Cool_Rides/Automotive%20Images/Four_Barrel_Engine.jpg

And maybe sleeve your wires with chrome sleeving or chome pipes

not exactly a show car, but on its way. notice the flanges and linkages of the slant six. maybe you can work in a solid sleeving solution, where you feed cables through solid pipes to their destinatinations.

run the entire thing off of a 12v deep cycle batt w/ inverter?
good luck w/ that heh.

but seriously, i hope to see god things from this mod, lots of potential.

That is an awesome waterblock, I love the gear design.

The watercooling picture that was posted isn't soo bad, but in the modding community it's cluttered. The tubes could definately be simplified, as well as a lot of the electrical wires. No need to worry about wire management right now though.
