Hey i finaly got round to doin my project.

some info about me

My names mark studley im 15 years old and i live someware near chester england as u probebly know students dont tend to have much money so this will be an ongoing projects.

The basic outline of what im doin

The mod will be based around a airbrushed picture of a dragon and the etching of the dragon next to the window i will also make my own watercooling parts well basicly u will see everything as i make it all coments are welcome really helpfull people will get there names on a window sign im making to accompanie the mod.

UPDATE 1

Right today I got some p38 filler the english version of bondo and filled in the groves on the top panel.

However the cat god bless it walked all over it.

The culprit who has sadly passed away.

Today got myself a new toy a orbital sander from halfords.

Right to start with i went to the insides of the case with a drill and riped out all the junk.

UPDATE 3

Today my dad kindly cut out the hole for the window in the sidepanel
and after a bout an hour of sanding and filing i was left with this.

No i didnt design the dragon but i might hopefully etch it or airbrush it on the side panel and make the middle jewel out of plexi.

screw side panel, could you imagine that, smaller, on the front of a case, with the flame, backlit (HDD LED light/power light) with some red and orange LED's, the flame for HDD usage, in Orange, and the surrounding in Red LED's for power. Would be kinda big, but for a nice feature on the front of the case that would look kickass

Update 4

Today i manged to get myself a newish airbrush and a dremal 395 from costco.8)

After sanding down the top panel I cut out the hole for the 120mm fan and the hole for the 2 windows either side.

And after a bit of thought i decide to fix a 80mm fan on top of the 120 just so my imated flame would have different layers.

Why thank you all for the comments they are most welcome. I was thinking of changeing the blue/green flame idea to maybe a blue/green ice theme but still have the same logo but with ice in the jewal instead what do u all think.

You cant quite see it but iv cut most of the metal off the back panel.

The crap that came out off the case including the harddrive bay that went up the side.

It turns out the dremals alot better of drilling out rivets than the drill

what is the blue blade looking thing ? Since my mods based on dragons theres gona be one crawling up the side of the tower thing It surposed to be an axe head and it will hold the dvd drives and power buttons. And its blue to follow the rest theme of the mod since its a ice based one now.

I painted the inside of the case Matt Black I chose this as I didnt really want the insides to be to shiny.I would have posted this yesterday however the man at the desk in halfords wouldnt sell me the paint for some reason.:think:

With the led turned on however one doesnt work since I forgot to put the resistor on so it set on fire.No worrys though I get a Replacement as soon as possible.

Oh right I get it there just a test at the moment but the power supply will hide that I plan to etch something underneath the MOBO once it is installed.

I would put this in a survey type thing but I cant seem to find out how to do it.

Before I go ahead with mounting my water cooling what do you think I should add to the case as well as my AMD/Ati setup

A Intel/Nvida PC to the other side of the case making it so there are two water cooled PCs

PROS

I can have lan match's for 2 people using only one case, Lots more folding which is good, ultimate upgradeable and one can act up as a back up if other is broken some how which my AMD system regulary does.

CONS

requires dual screens not really A problem though since I already have a dual screen setup, Twice as much power drawn although I wont have them both turned on all the time.Cant really think of any other bad things.



Or I could take my 360 apart and put it in my case.

PROS

Xbox would run cooler and would make less noise.

CONS
Problem as need to remake the front panel into PC case, Cant take my xbox to friends houses for a system link may break components and lose warranty.

Tell me what you think.

Imo its a big disadvantage to have 2 computers in one case. It takes up more space,which can make it hard to fit 2x keyboards /monitors and such on a desk and you cant take them to other places as easy due to weight and size.

xbox 360 in the case would be hell good but warranty void/ making hard to take places means it is again the suck.

If i were you id find something else to put in the space.

Ur design with the dragon and flames is hell good! keep it up.

Iv got tons of space since I already have a dual monitor setup and the case Is already to big to be transporting places.:D
