Hey guys

Just sort of dropping in to say hi, and explain my recent absence.

As most of you know, I've had to sort of disappear for a while, due to a lot of real life obligations. Things have been absolutely crazy at work and at home - I've been given about three different people's responsibilities at work on top of my own, and have been handed a terifyingly huge project that has demanded my full attention for quite a while. In fact, this is the first time I've been able to even drop in to TBCS in nearly a month, with the exception of taking a second to delete a few spam threads here and there that you guys have been good enough to flag - thanks for that, by the way.

Before I go any further, I have to say I am so thrilled to see how well everything has been going, to see updates on the front page again and how well DaveW and the crew have kept things running smooth. It was very reluctantly that I had to step back from TBCS these past couple months, and I am elated to see it in suhc good hands - not that I had any doubt, mind you.

There is good news - I'm nearly to the point where I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'll hopefully be through the worst of everything here by the end of january, and will be able to return to at least some, if not all, of my duties and appointments here at TBCS, and will be bringing some great new knowledge and skill to the table when that time comes. I'm sorry I had to disappear like that, but when duty calls...

Anyway, I just wanted to drop in and say hi, to say that I haven't forgotten any of you and still love this place madly and cannot wait to get out from under my rock and get back to modding and TBCS in general. I've got some... interesting... ideas for some upcoming projects that will hopefully pan out next year, and will hopefully be bringing some great new ideas and such for all of us to enjoy once I'm done with this project I'm stuck under at work.

Thanks again for being the best damned community on the web, and I look forward to talking with you all soon.

You see those pair of legs sticking out from that eight-foot-tall pile of paperwork in the corner?

That's me.

Hey Rank, nice to see you back for a bit. Good to here that life is busy for you - it's a hassle but in the end is for the better. Remember... life comes first.

Hope you get some time to start building your shop one of these days...

Hey Ranken. Glad to hear from ya. Good luck with the extra work, take it easy and make sure you do your best, and we'll all be here when you get through it.

But its like I always say "When life give you paperwork, make paper airplanes!"

if nothing else, you better be getting a damn big paycheck as compensation for dragging you away from such an important forum. if i dont get on here for at least a quick peek every day... i start craving millions of dollars.

Here's hoping. Most of my headaches should go away around the end of January, after I go to Orlando for a tradeshow. I've managed to complete one huge, gigantic project, but I've still got three more to get through before I'm sitting pretty, and who knows what could get dropped on my lap in the mean time. Luckily, I'll be up for my review right around that time, and you better believe I damned well expect to be compensated for all this. Hehehe.

Hmmm, tradeshow, orlando, january? ITSEC? Hmmm, no that is this month(going on right now actually)... let see, well you got me on that one...

I must say I miss going to trade shows. Lots of fun, food and entertainment.

Good luck with the project and make sure and have fun in orlando. You must go to disney quest.

Its damn good to hear from ya! I can definitely relate to an excessive workload! Hang in there!! Just remember to take a little ME time now and again to keep the stress levels at bay. We will be here waiting to hear from ya. I have waited this long to see a finished Ultimate Arcade (http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1378) project, I can wait a bit longer :D
